In order to avoid thermal bridges in our duvets, all of our year-round and winter products are baffle boxed, separating the two layers of fabric surrounding the duvet.
We thus ensure that down is evenly distributed against the duvet walls. This is in contrast to fixed-box construction, which forces the down away from the stitching, leaving uninsulated areas.
The number of cassettes in the product varies in relation to its quantity of filling. Low fill quantities require additional cassettes in order to keep the down in place while very warm winter duvets utilise fewer cassettes.
Summer duvets, on the other hand, feature quite small squares and fixed-box construction instead of baffle boxing. This is necessary in order to keep the low percentage of down in place and ensure that the product receives the necessary ventilation.
